HIGH-END SALES IN ASPEN
One in every four real estate sales in Aspen this year has been for $10 million or more, with 14 sales of homes topping the $10 million mark already sold, and another three houses at that price level are under contract. Overall, there have been 92 sales of single-family homes, condominiums, townhouses and single-family lots for $375.24 million in Aspen during the first half of the year, up 51% in transactions and 44% in dollar volume over the same period in 2010.

But you haven’t herd from me, because I have been going to bed before dark. It’s hard work, searching the MLS for what your client thinks he wants, while you try to interpret what they really want. Lining up showings ( this is now supposedly all electronic, except it isn’t), and our office staff has been to busy to help. Calls came back until about 9:00 last night for what I could show this morning, but then this morning, because of the masses of people coming to Breckenridge for the holiday weekend, over half of what I was going to show now had guests. The weather here is amazing, 77 degrees, which feels like 90 in the sun. All in all it was a good day. That cabin I talked about a few weeks ago seems to be going for full price, and I saw a dozen two bedrooms condos today that are ” ski in & ski out” and few bigger units.I hope to have time to get more serious after the holiday weekend, and get some good pictures to post.
